West Branch Regional Medical Center: Emergency Room at 2463 Michigan 30, West Branch, Michigan.

Going to this ER in many cases is no different than staying home and treating yourself. In my case one out of five visits there were a reason for me think the staff got degrees out of a crackerjack box. Last week my wife had to be taken there via ambulance after having seizures at a Doctors office. The primary doctor suggested she be transferred as WB is not equipped to treat her conditions. U of M was full the doctor told us so no transfer there. He said she will be transferred to Bay City. That would have been fine, however three hours or more later we were still there just wondering if the doctor was even doing his job. For her adrenal crisis that treatment should have started no more than thirty minutes after she was brung in. Instead it started after being there an hour, and now from the IV point she has Phlebitis! We ended up leaving there ourselves against the Drs will. We got home and immediately got her blood pressure down better than they even tried. The next day we took her to Tawas ER and she was treated for all her conditions immediately, the Dr and nurses were helpful and on top of things. Tawas ER had more patients than WB did so that excuse they use don't work. The Dr from Tawas called WB for any results etc. WB told him about the X-ray results. There was no X-ray taken at WB. They took her urine and it sat in a cup on the room table until we left. Even I know you can't test it by just letting it sit there untouched. The last time she was there the Doctor on duty told her "of course you have problems you're old" He no longer has a job. I may be talking to Mark Sierra about this past visit too!
